Welcome to Faith Orienteering Services! My name is Margie Donaldson and I am a Board Certified Biblical Counselor and Certified Christian Life Coach* living in southwestern New Hampshire where I enjoy exploring God’s creation and taking in the natural beauty that surrounds us everyday.
Long walks and hikes help me to surrender my concerns into the hands of Christ, because I know he cares for me (1 Peter 5:7), and to seek to trust him with all things and avoid leaning on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Tall order, right? I said they were long walks and hikes! 😉
So, how did I get here…
It was several years ago that I began intentionally pursuing this journey towards becoming a Biblical Counselor, but I believe God has been shaping and equipping me throughout my entire life.
I know what it is to be sexually abused as a child, what happens to a young girl when she has been raped, I know what it is to be in an emotionally abusive marriage, I know what it is to live with crippling anxiety, and what it means to walk this life as a woman who has persevered through divorce. We ALL have stories! We ALL have endured trials, afflictions, and sufferings that have shaped our lives, our being. But God…
…our God, is a God of hope!
One of my friends recently remarked that when she thinks about my story and all I have overcome through Christ, she knows there is always hope.

God fashioned us with relationship in mind. First with him through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and secondly with each other. It is through relationship we are called to love God and love one another (Mathew 22:37-39).
Yes, it is true I graduated from Liberty University with a degree in psychology/Christian counseling, I have read many articles and books, sat through many a seminar and participated in many trainings throughout the years…and I will continue to do so because these trainings are highly valuable and necessary. However, I have also done decades of “on the job training” by God’s own hand through the power of the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. God has personally seen to it that my story is one of great trial and even greater redemption and healing…all because of Jesus! Every time we reach out to connect with someone who is hurting, or traveling through a challenging time, Jesus Christ redeems our stories.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.”

I believe that at least in part, one reason I traveled through all I did was that I would know the comfort of God through Jesus Christ, and that I would share that very comfort with you…for His glory!
